As the weather gets cooler, it means one thing in Nyngan, Duck Creek Picnic Races are right around the corner.
The Picnics on Saturday, July 1, is a social calendar highlight for the entire region and there’s something for everyone, whether you’re into the horse racing, the fashions or just catching up with mates, this year promises to be one of the best yet.
President of the Duck Creek committee Rowen Cleaver has been quick to quash rumours there would be no races this year.
“It’s not true, of course it’s back for this year and we have so much exciting stuff happening this year,” he said.
The band is a highlight this year with former X-Factor winner Altiyan Childs playing from 5.30pm with his band after the races and well into the night.
He’ll be giving “Plucka Duck” a run for the most special guest on the day.

The Duck Creek Picnic Races Luncheon is on again including a delicious picnic hamper from Soulfood Narromine and champagne, wine and beer included with your track side table.
