A BRAND new five bedroom home will be the cherry on top for those who inspect “Eurunga” at Culcairn.
The property, listed with Brian Liston of Landmark Harcourts Albury, features 656.4 hectares of fertile land perfect for a mixed farming operation.
With two-thirds of the place sown to equal parts wheat, canola and lupins, “Eurunga” is looking in top shape according to Scott and Teneal Jones.
“We’ve finished sowing and things are looking very well at the moment,” Mr Jones said.
“Along with our dual purpose crops we also sowed 60 hectares of phalaris and the same of lucerne.”
The couple run 40 Angus breeders and 350 first-cross Merinos.
They purchased “Eurunga” four years ago and made the move from Narrandera where they were farming 1416ha (3500 acres).
They’re on the move again after deciding it was the right time to sell.
During their time they carried out significant improvements at “Eurunga”.
“We’ve put in a new homestead, a new set of cattle yards, and a new machinery shed. We’ve carried out a lot of fencing improvements to road ways and causeways and we’ve done a lot of pasture improvement,” Mrs Jones said.
The Jones’ brand new five bedroom house features two bathrooms and an open plan living area.
Deep verandahs wrap around the house and lead to an expansive garden.
“We had Cobberdog Constructions from Henty build the home – they really specialise in farm homesteads and did a wonderful job,” she said.

“We receive massive amounts of natural light because the living areas are north facing so we well and truly make the most of the beautiful winter sun.
“We have undulating hills and a lookout with a beautiful view of The Rock.”
The property is situated just six minutes by car from Culcairn. It’s so close the farm’s trough system is fed by town water.
Other working improvements include machinery sheds, hay shed, shearing shed with sheep yards and two 45 tonne silos.
