In this week’s Throwback Thursday The Land takes you back to June 2006 to have a look at some of the photos that made the newspaper that year.
From the National Cotton Trade Show, to a look at drovers, spray drift, and crop insurance, the month’s papers covered a wide range of topics.
They also featured photos from a range of events including the Hunter Valley Angus Breeders Association post-sale dinner, photos from recent sales across the state, as well as from local events including Dubbo Show, and Bingara Show.
There was even still the odd black and white page appearing in the paper in 2006.
The front covers of the month looked at the increasing price of grain, the growing demand for beef, header breakdowns, silo safety and the pork industry.
