Angus youth members aged between 15 and 20 years old are encouraged to apply for a spot in a Low Stress Stock Handling Clinic.
Livestock Behaviour Systems’ Boyd Holden will present it at “Oakbank”, Old Bonalbo, from October 2-6.
Participants will learn how to develop a livestock handling system or framework to help them manage challenges and create a respectful and safe environment for all colleagues and maximise each animal’s welfare.
A maximum of 10 people can participate. Cost is $500 a person, while two scholarships are available. Training, accommodation, meals and some transport costs are covered in the price.
Scholarship applications close Friday, July 21. Paid positions open on Tuesday, August 1.
