NEED a break from the farm?
A nine-bedroom home with magnificent view of the Byron Bay Hinterland could be your next hideaway.
“Green Valley House” has just been listed with boutique agency Unique Estates.
The agency specialises luxury properties and this place certainly fits the bill.
“Green Valley House”, surrounded by macadamia farms and a cattle farm, comprises eight hectares (20 acres) of fertile agricultural land.
The homestead comprises three homes under one roof line each featuring three bedrooms, three bathrooms and spacious open plan kitchen and dining areas overlooking the surrounding hinterland.
The property belongs brothers Greg and John Crump and their father Lloyd.
“The property has been the hub of Crump family holidays for the past few years,” said Greg Crump.
Mr Crump, who studied architecture at university, designed the house himself.
“It was designed as a nice open home for the extended family to live and share,” he said.
“It would suit a buyer who is looking for a lifestyle property with room to move or a big house to accommodate extended family.”
The family are selling to pursue other interests.
While the house is new – it was finished just two years ago – the property has belonged to the family for seventeen years.
Lloyd Crump initially bought the place to start an advanced tree nursery.
While all tree stock has now been sold off, for years the property produced a range of native trees for landscaping and screening purposes.
Greg Crump, who is based in Tasmania, said the location of Green Valley House was “prime”.
“The village of Newrybar is just 400 meters away. It’s a funky little village with cafes to enjoy. Bangalow is a five minute drive away and it’s a nice little town too.
“Of course, Byron Bay is a major draw card and it’s about 15 minutes by car,” he said.
