Lee Kernaghan, John Williamson, Sara Storer and The McClymonts will all make a big return to Tamworth for the 2018 Country Music Festival.
This week Tamworth Regional Council announced its first batch of big-name stars set to take the stage at the iconic event.
The 10-day event will be held from January 19 to January 28 with more than 700 artists expected to perform in 2800 gigs.
Troy-Cassar-Daley and the Adam Eckersley Band have also confirmed they will be attending the not-to miss event.
“Across the ten days of the Festival, the city will be filled with Australian country music legends, newcomers, award winners, and buskers, showing the rest of the world why Tamworth is the place to be in January,” Festival manager Barry Harley said.
Buzz bands, Hurricane Fall, The Pigs, The Viper Creek Band and Cruisin Deuces will also be returning to Tamworth in January, with shows at the Longyard and Southgate Hotels.
Shane Nicholson and Catherine Britt will be back in their regular spots at The Pub, plus newly-minted stars Fanny Lumsden and Travis Collins are both set for huge shows this festival.
“Tamworth in January truly is the ultimate destination for country music fans and festival enthusiasts alike. It is the home of country music in Australia and the birthplace of many country music careers and if you haven’t been to a Tamworth Festival before, there’s no better time than now,” Mr Harley said.
NSW Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall congratulated festival organisers on the 2018 line-up.
