Darling Downs Tarpaulins is a family owned company that has been operating in Toowoomba since 1983.

Darling Downs Tarpaulins manufactures quality canvas, vinyl, PVC and shadecloth products.

Darling Downs Tarpaulins Grain Bunker Covers enable bulk products, such as grain, to be stored securely and efficiently.

Size is no problem for the team at Darling Downs Tarpaulins.

Storing grain in bunkers can deliver:

  • Economy - for medium to large tonnage, you will not find a better way to store grain;
  • Ease of sealing the storage - enabling efficient and effective gas treatment for insect control;
  • Versatility - the ability to cheaply re-load bunkers to suit crop paddock rotation; and
  • Opportunity - if cropping programmes fluctuate from year to year, why have large fixed, and high cost, storage infrastructure which will be under utilised in poor (or non-crop) years?

Darling Downs Tarpaulins Bunker Covers can be made from Canvacon, Landmark or PVC.

Canvacon is economical and lightweight (260-305gsm), UV stabilised and has been popular for more than 25 years.

Landmark is heavier (340gsm) and is especially suited to windy sites.

PVC  is heavier still (500gsm - 600gsm) and 'hugs the stack'.

Darling Downs Tarpaulins recommend cooler colours like Ice Blue, especially in the hotter parts of Australia.

Darling Downs Tarpaulins has a stable and dedicated work force.

They use the best quality materials and modern methods of fabrication, guaranteeing a consistent and quality product.

They are proud to say they source 95 percent of their material from Australian manufacturers.

Darling Downs Tarpaulins Research and Development division has provided many solutions over the years to some unique problems.

They service a wide range of industries including agriculture, construction and mining from their purpose built facility in Toowoomba.

They have a production capacity of up to 20,000 square metres per day.

The team approach ensures the aim to provide customers with the best possible service, quality and professionalism is achieved.
