The 100 per cent clearance of 73 two-year-old Angus bulls at the annual spring sale on account the Burton-Taylor family, Kenny’s Creek Angus, Boorowa realised a top price of $26,000 and sale average of $8678.
Kenny’s Creek Intensity L123 was purchased by Victorian studs Pathfinder Angus and Chilton Park Angus for $26,000 and was purchased through AuctionsPlus.
Peter Young, Chiltern Park Angus, Macarthur, Victorian said they were attracted to the bull for his pedigree along with his excellent EBV’s.
“His sire HPCA Intensity has been an outstanding bull with a lot of great progeny on the ground,” Mr Young said.
“I will naturally mate him with daughters of Ayrvale Bartel E7.”
Return clients the Coolac Cattle Co, purchased three new sires for average $7,733 for their property “Cooininee”, Coolac; Coolac Pastoral Co, “Harvey Park”, Coolac, bought two sires for $8750 while the Stan Henwood Trust, “Barkala Park”, Bethungra took home three new sires for $10,167 average price.
Volume buyers included the Redcliffs, Grenfell proprietors who took four bulls home to top $11,000, and D.J and K.J. Curtis, “The Wilgas”, Trundle who added to their genetic strength with three new sires for $7333 average.
I.J Laurie and Co, Braidwood purchased three bulls for top $13,000 and average $9166, The Falls Partnership, Neville took home three bulls to top $12,000 and Mt Buffalo Cattle Co, Rye Park also bought three bulls but for average price $7166.
Casella Management, Yenda purchased two bulls to top $12,000, S.G. Davidson, Young bought two bulls to top $11,000 and Toptani Pty Ltd, Humula paid $13,000 for their pick of the Kenny’s Creek offering.
Individual bull purchasers included B.P. and J.M. Tuohey, Serpentine, Victoria who paid $10,000 for their selection, Simon Kurts, Bronte who secured his pick for $10,500 and Faithfull and Co Pty Ltd, Goulburn who took a bull home after paying $10,000.
Riverina producer John Lamb Pastoral Co, “Willurah”, Conargo outlayed $8000 each for two bulls.
AuctionsPlus were active securing eight lots, including the top priced bull from eight registered buyers.
Speaking on behalf of his family, Sam Burton-Taylor said it was a great sale with one lot selling for $26,000.
“He was a standout, and apart from that it was pretty consistent across $8- $10,000,” he said.
“We are very happy with the result, the bulls looked really good and presented well.”
Landmark studstock settled the sale which was interfaced with AuctionsPlus and Andrew Wishart and Tim Woodham shared the auctioneering duties.
