IN cropping yield is always king but the tough season is creating hurdles this year.
Aaron Giason of Baker Seeds was showing the crowds through the trial plots at Henty Machinery Field Days and he said the dry weather was something everyone was talking about.
“We will certainly be looking for rain by the end of next week,” he said.
Meanwhile, he commended farmers from throughout the Riverina and Southern NSW on the work they had done in utilising soil moisture well.
He said despite the lack of in-crop rainfall there were plenty of crops that were looking better than could be expected.
