THE annual Gulargambone races were once again a popular day out for the locals with many taking part in the fashions in the field events.
Liam Skinner and Paris Hammond from Gular were named the best dressed boy and girl with Dominic Spora also from Gulargambone named the best dressed gent.
The sort after title of “Young Glamour” was awarded to Phillipa Smith, from Dubbo, while Katrina Shelton, of Quambone, was named the best dressed lady with Kate Gadsby, from Euchareena, named the runner up.
Mark and Jodie Walker from Gilgandra were also named Mr and Mrs Gular for 2017.
The feature race, the 2017 Gulargambone Hotel Bill Lambell Memorial Gold Cup over 1200 metres was won by the Dar Lunn Dubbo-trained Basic Strategy who was ridden by Dubbo-based jockey Paul Payne who only just returned to race riding.
