It’s the toughest eight-seconds in sport but that won’t stop hardened men from the land from taking on some of the fiercest bulls around for The Blue Moon Charity Bull Ride on November 25.
Well known and former rodeo star Peter Farley is hosting the event to raise money for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
There will be a combination of champion bulls, pro bull riders and live music at Kempsey Showgrounds where the action kicks off at 7pm, gates open at 4pm. Family pass $70, kids $15, 16 and over $25.
November 11/12: Guyra cool climate private gardens will be open this weekend, $20 for four, plus plant stall, garden art, refreshments.
Also Brindley Park, Merriwa, now owned by Australia Aulong Auniu Wang Operations, 10 hectares of formal hedges, roses, orchards and native garden beside a billabong. $10 details Ted Finnie, 02 6548 5171.
