The Border Branch – a branch of the Australian Stock Horse Society (ASHS) that has more than 180 members – held its first Horsemanship and Cattle Working Clinic at Warialda Showgrounds on the November 11 and 12. There were 15 riders that honed their horsemanship skills and then had the opportunity to work cattle and fine tune their campdraft skills throughout the weekend. The clinic was run under the guidance of local horseman Codie Law. Codie has a wealth of experience across a range of disciplines, with more than 30 years competing at the highest levels. Border Branch are extremely grateful to Codie for his generosity conducting the clinic and would also like to thank Ceres Ag Co for donating the cattle for the weekend.
