Four farmers galloped through Uralla on Thursday to protest the federal government’s “lack of leadership” on climate change.
Inverell cattle farmer Glenn Morris led the pack who are calling on New England byelection candidates to “let voters know what they intend to do” about global warming.
“We need action on climate change and support for sustainable farming,” he said.
Mr Morris is best known for riding his buckskin, Hombre, across the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 2016, protesting for greater environmental protection and support for sustainable farming.

“Like many farmers in the New England and across Australia, I’m calling for a new approach,” he said.
“Farmers across the New England are feeling the effects of climate change every day and are bitterly disappointed with our leaders who are failing to tackle the problem head on.
“The bush wants solutions - not sceptics who want to bury their head in the sand and ignore the problem.
“Here in the New England we're calling on all candidates in the New England to lead on climate change solutions.”
