Oberon studs Baringa and Tattykeel shared the spoils in the Australian White judging at the Sydney Royal Show.
Baringa stud took out the grand champion ram with its entry in the ram, born August-September 2017 class, while Tattykeel took the reserve which placed second to the grand in its class.
Tattykeel took out the grand champion ewe and reserve.
The grand was from the ewe born June-July 2017 class, with the reserve placing second to the ewe in that class.
Baringa studs Brayden Gilmore said the grands sire was grand champion ram at the National Australian White Sheep Show and Sale last year.
He said the grand will be for sale at National Australian White Sheep Show and Sale at Dubbo, but the stud will keep some semen in him to continue the line.
This was the only ram born by that sire last year, so hell have plenty of brothers on the ground this time next year for the show, Mr Gilmore said.
Tattykeels Ross Gilmore said the ewes were both by the brother of their $38,000 record price lamb.
Theyve both been flushed and will be flushed again in May, he said.
They were both part of the studs winning Peter Taylor Australian White group as well.
Judge James Frost, Crookwell, said there was a really high standard in the Australian White lineup today.
Ive judged them four or five years ago in Dubbo and theyve come ahead a long way since then, Mr Frost said.
He said the ram was really true to type for the breed, while the ewe was a very similar to the ram with excellent breed type and a tremendous carcase attributes.
