AN Adelong youngster made history during the Limousin National Junior Show at Moss Vale last weekend, becoming the first and only peewee entrant to win grand champion parader.
Despite being only 10 years old, Jack Robson from Flemington Limousins at Adelong proved he has natural talent with cattle when he defeated competitors up to 15 years his senior.
Supreme exhibit and the highest individual point score were among the awards Mr Robson took home, but one of the biggest highlights was when he secured the prestigious Bill Tooth Memorial trophy for grand champion parader.
The win made him the first and only ever peewee to take the top gong. Judge of the handlers section, Sam Hunter, AgStock Pty Ltd, said it was Mr Robson's impressive skill set for his age that won him the top title.
"It was his ability at such a young age," Mr Hunter said.
"He had a lot of control over the heifer and knew how to present her to make her look her best.
"He went about the job without fuss, but had a spark about him and made me keep looking at his heifer."
