There was keen interest in the 14th annual offering of 32 Poll Hereford bulls and 15 unjoined Poll Hereford heifers on account Kanimbla Poll Herefords, Holbrook.

Top price for the bulls was $6500 paid by repeat buyer Trevor Ralston, Moglonemby, Victoria for Kanimbla Carbine N083, a 23 month-old son of Days Carbine J141.
Weighing 915 kilograms and with a scrotum measuring 41 cm, the bull caught Mr Ralstons attention for his breeding and overall balance.
"This is the third bull we have bought sired by Days Carbine and we like the bloodline," he said.
"The bull has depth of body, length, colour and good conformation."
Mr Ralston said he looks at the bull first before considering the estimated breeding values (EBVs).
"He had good milk +13, his EMA +5.3 and Rib +1.4 are what I'm looking for," he said.
He joins 200 females and the steer portion are offered at the annual weaner sales in January at NVLX Barnawartha.
Another good bull sale was Kanimbla Kingkade N069 purchased by Yavenvale Herefords, Adelong.
The 23 month son of MSU TCF Revolution 4R weighed 898kg and had a scrotum measurement of 39.5cm with EBVs of +7.8 EMA, +2.0 RIB and +1.7 IMF.
James Pearce, Yavenvale Herefords, Adelong said he was a high performance bull with an outcross pedigree.
"His terrific carcase data will allow us to breed industry relevant bulls for commercial producers," he said.
Sisters Grace and Emily Elsom, Emigrace Poll Herefords, Warrabkook, Vic where very excited to pick up their choice of the females Kanimbla Tia Maria P150 for female sale top price of $8000.
Grace Elsom said the daughter Mawarra Manitoba J051 was structurally sound with a strong data set.
"She has a moderate maturity pattern which will suit our breeding program," she said.
The 11 month old heifer had impressive EBVs being in the top five percent breed average for 200 day, with +66 400 day and +1.8 Retail.
They also purchased Kanimbla Nicky P149 an 11 month old daughter of Kanimbla Dynamic M063 for $5000.
The sisters started their stud in 2017 with heifers purchased at the dispersal of Bowmont Herefords, Tatyoon and joined to Injermira sires.
This is their first year buying from Kanimbla and the sisters intend to show their heifers and will be breeding bulls for their own commercial use.
Elders Rural Services settled the sale with Landmark stud stock auctioneer Peter Godbolt taking the bids.
