MICHAEL and Mary Parsons of Kia Ora Limousins, Rosyln, won supreme exhibit of the Limousin breed at the Royal Canberra Show with their first-calf female, Myers Moonbeam.
Shining through the competition, the two-and-a-half-year-old showed with a five-month-old heifer calf at foot, Kia Ora Quillow, sired by Wulfs Zane.
Judge Glenn Trout of Kenmere Charolais, Holbrook, with associate Michelle Fairall, Micanker Livestock Harden, said when it came down to the final decision, he was looking for the animal that would be a game changer.
"This is the end game," Mr Trout said. "I'm looking for the game changer, the animal that will make its mark on the breed and I believe this female has the potential to do great things.
"She is so fluent on the move, she is functional, sound and beautiful fronted."
Purchased privately back in September from the Myers Limousin open day, the Moonbeam female will now be part of the Kia Ora show team headed to Sydney Royal.
Owner Mary Parsons said the pair's final preparations were done by breeder Scott Myers, Myers Limousins.
"That was the condition when we bought her - Scott would clip her for the shows," Mrs Parsons said.
Also coming from the Kia Ora stall was the champion and reserve champion junior heifers, the reserve senior champion cow, the senior and grand champion bull, and the winning sire's progeny group sired by Cottage Lake Big Star.
Myers Northern Star from the Parsons took out grand champion bull. The 17-month-old was sired by Cottage Lake Big Star and from Myers Lady Luck.
The Parsons purchased Northern Star out of the 2019 Limousin National Show and Sale at Wodonga, Vic, for the junior bull top-price of $8000.
Kia Ora Paris was the junior champion female that had a number of recent successes including winning the interbreed heifer jackpot and junior champion Limousin female at the Crookwell show in early February.
The rising 15-month-old female was by Greenwood Canadian Impact and from Kia Ora Jenny who was the 2016 grand champion Limousin female at the Sydney Royal Show.
Mrs Parsons said she had been joined to the grand champion bull, Myers Northern Star.
Paris got around stall mate Kia Ora Pattie, a 19-month-old daughter of Cottage Lake Big Star from Birubi Poll Min M37.
Reserve champion senior female went to the Garren Park Razzamattaz N32 female the Parsons also purchased from the 2019 Limousin National. The 30-month-old daughter of Meriden Poll Heavyduty showed with a heifer calf at foot sired by Richmond Zodiac heifer
The Parson's team will now go on to the Sydney Royal Show in early April.
Breaking the Parson family's winning streak was Ray Lawerence from Raydon Park Limousins, Mulloon, with his nine-month-old bull calf Raydon Park Qashqai who won junior champion bull.
Despite being the youngest bull of the Limousin show, the potential in the calf impressed judge Mr Trout.
Sired by Birubi Maxyield M70 and from Birubi Red Satan K160, he got around stall mate Raydon Park Pharaoh Energizer who was reserve.
A rising 19-month-old, he was by the Mandayen Energizer E1338 sire and out of the Raydon Park Jordyan female.
Kylie Jonkers of Kyanne Limousin stud, Cowra, received reserve senior champion bull with her rising two-year-old Kyanne Pope.
Sired by Wulfs Xcellsior X252X and from Kyanne Gemima L6, Pope was also part of Ms Jonker's winning breeder's group that went on to place third in the interbreed breeder's group competition.
