The first day of beef cattle judging at the Royal Canberra Show has been completed with some quality entries catching the attention of judges.
So far seven breeds have undergone their individual judging with another 11 to go before judges Tim Reid, Sam Hunter, Glen Trout and Michelle Fairall today before interbreed judging on Sunday.
Yesterday also saw about 240 school students and young competitors take part in the junior judges event along with open paraders.
Both titles were taken out by Cavan competitor Emily Polsen who will now go on to associate judge at next year's Royal Canberra Show.
