Bauhinia Park Charolais & Angus Annual Bull Sale 

The 20th Annual New Dimension Braford Bull & Female Sale is on Saturday 23rd August commencing at 10:30am at the picturesque Bell Showgrounds. Cattle will be yarded for inspection from 3pm on Friday 22nd August.

With the sale being on a Saturday it allows all family members to attend as we wish to support the strong interest that so many of the youth have in our breed. The sale is the only Braford female sale held in Australia, that offers only registered Braford Females.

Elite Auctions will be covering the sale with Live Online Simulcast Bidding and Live Video/Live Audio streaming.

Bell is in a tick free area so all animals are clear to travel on sale-day. All animals have been vaccinated with 3 Germ Blood, 3 Day Sickness and tested negative for Pompes. All Bulls have been soundness evaluated and semen tested, and EMA,IMF and weights will be available on sale day.

New Dimension Braford Sale

The 2024 National Braford Sale is being held at CQLX Gracemere on the 9th of September 2024 and will see over 150 registered bulls offered through the ring, along with herd bulls and registered heifers from 30 different studs from Queensland and NSW. 
The sale will be conducted by GDL Nutrien And Elders and also will be backed by Stocklive for online bidding and viewing. 
Bulls will be available for viewing on the Sunday the 8th of September.

National Braford Sale

Talgai Santa Gertrudis Stud and Prime Hay Suppliers is located in the Nindooinbah area, just outside of Beaudesert, Queensland.  The General Managers, Malcolm & Chick Gadsby, reside at ‘The Gorge’ and oversee all the companies’ agricultural operations.

‘The Gorge’ property is 2164 acres.  Its NE boundary runs along the Sarabah Range.  It runs up the valleys into iron bark and gum trees with natural pastures, Blue grass, Bambatsi and Rhodes grasses.  It is flanked by basalt columns located in the properties gorge from which the property derives its name. The top of the range affords magnificent panoramic views as far as Flinders Peak. ‘The Gorge’ offers freshwater pools at the base of the Sarabah Range, to undulating country that runs down to alluvial flats. The meandering Cainbable Creek flows through the heart of the property plus 3 bores for water supply. 

Talgai’s Stud breeding program is based at ‘The Gorge’, with a hay operation also. The cattle breeding objective has been to breed herd improving sires for the commercial cattle producer.  The aim is to breed high growth, well muscled, easy finishing cattle to meet the market specifications.   Talgai believe that fertility is one of the strongest traits that should be in any herd.

The females’ bloodlines in the stud consist of Talgai, Bowenfels, Robenlea, Goonoo, Marston, Kelly Wallah, Doondi, Oakdale, Tyndale, Strathmore, Drensmaine, Dangarfield and Dunlop with 200 classified females. The aim is to sell approximately 20 quality bulls a year, as well as a handful of classified heifers. What doesn’t make the grade, are grown out and sold to meatworks or through the saleyard.  Quality non ‘S’ branded females are retained for the commercial herd.

THE 13th annual Central Reds Droughtmaster Bull Sale will be held at the
Emerald Saleyards on Tuesday the 24th of September commencing at 10:00am.
The Central Reds Bull Sale team of vendors; Mostyndale, Kenlogan, Vale View,
Red River, Konjuli, Seymour, Hillside, Wetheron, Molan and Strathfield 9JE
have put together a quality, genetically diverse line up of 60 bulls for the 2024
Sale.
Once again RBV Rural join Dane Pearce and the Nutrien team as our selling
agents and the vendors are pleased to announce that online bidding will be
available via Elite Livestock.
All bulls are offered with an Accredited Cattle Vet bull soundness evaluation,
semen test and structural assessment prior to the sale. A supplementary sheet
will be available on sale day providing semen test results, scrotal
circumference, weight, eye muscle area, IMF scans and poll gene test results.
All bulls are pre-treated for ticks. Freight assistance will be available to some
centres (conditions apply).
Bulls will be available for inspection at the Emerald Saleyards from 4pm on
Monday, September 23rd.

Central Reds Droughtmaster Sale 

Operated by Lindsay and Fiona Barlow, the Triple B Brangus Stud is based on properties around Dingo, Central Queensland.

The objective of Triple B is to produce even lines of commercially driven bulls and females. Two hundred bulls are produced annually utilizing proven females and leading sires, both of homebred and outcross genetics.

The stud herd is fully Breedplan and DNA recorded, being the most comprehensibly recorded Brangus herd with generations of objective measurements. Current trends indicate the entire Triple B herd’s average is equal to or above the breed average for all 16 traits and indexes.

In 2020, Triple B undertook a complete DNA profile of the entire stud herd involving some 1500 Brangus Bundle Tests. This bold new step of DNA profiling the entire stud herd brings a host of benefits to their program. It provides clients with the additional information on Poll, Coat Colour genes and full Parent Verification of the stud herd. Into the future it will also greatly assist with more information when planning mating and Genomics enhanced EBV’s will create even higher accuracy for EBV’s.

TRIPLE B BRANGUS ANNUAL PRODUCTION SALE

Industry relevant bulls will once again be the cornerstone of the 23rd instalment of the annual MAGS Droughtmaster bull sale held in Charters Towers on Friday the 8th of November. 

Both Mungalla and Lamont studs have invested heavily in genetics over many years in the Australian Droughtmaster industry. 
Attention to detail is always a strong focus on their bull breeding females with fertility, structural correctness backed by strong material instincts and tidy udders. 
With bulls that move freely display weight for age with wonderful temperament and fertility breed to allow the Commercial cattleman to sell prodigy to a host of various markets.

This was highlighted with the recent demand on Mungalla and Lamont females attracting premiums on auctions plus and open auction to be returned to the paddock to be used as future breeders. 
Lamont bullocks placed first in the jap ox classes in a strong field at the recent northern beef producer's expo with a host of other placings.
MAGs 2023 we believe will have bulls to suit any market for everybody.
