UPDATED
WORLD Mental Health Day is today.
To help you to take a few minutes out to relax, we've put together this Feel Good Friday video with Ken Smith of Orange.
It’s a day to reflect on ways to maintain mental fitness and, in light of that, today The Land hosted its online Friday Forum at 2pm.
The Land has been running a social media campaign called #changeyourmind, which aims to change the way we think and talk about mental health in rural Australia.
Today’s forum was facilitated by panel members who are passionate about helping push this message.
Panellists include former NRL player Wayne Wigham, who works for The Black Dog Institute; Paul Morgan, communications director at SANE Australia, a national charity helping all Australians affected by mental illness lead a better life; Maddie Gay, a mental health advocate and co-founder of the 6NIL campaign alongside her brother, Will, and Steve Carrigg, one of nine rural mental health co-ordinators with the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP).
The Friday Forum is a joint initiative of The Land and RAMHP.
MISSED OUT? Don't worry, you can read the conversation here and stay tuned for the next month's forum.
