ABOUT 60 open and youth competitors turned out for the Australian Stock Horse Society’s Northern Branch annual show on November 21 and 22.
In the open events, supreme led horse went to Helene Allome’s three-year-old black filly Thompsons Utopia and Gunnedah’s Teigan Meyers rode her chestnut gelding Todd’s Tiger Lilly to win champion hack of the show.
Barraba horseman Philip Main and his bay gelding Mains Lochlan took home a swag of awards, winning the champion working horse and champion station horse, as well as the Tony Sherrin memorial trophy for supreme ridden horse of the show.
In the youth classes, Sydney Royal show winner Katie de Jong won champion youth working horse with her buckskin mare Garcon Fiesta.
The two-event included stock horse challenge, with the open challenge being won by Barry Moore’s Starwaltz Cool Justice and Philip Main’s horse Mains Lochlan.
Phillip’s father Craig Main won the two-year-old futurity with Mains Charming Adios, Helene Allome's filly Thompsons Utopia won the three-year-old futurity and Barry Moore won the four-year-old futurity with Wundurra Kit Kat.
