UPDATED 11AM
TODAY'S Friday Forum focuses on ways to help friends, family or yourself ahead of World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10.
The Friday Forum is on today from 2pm with a panel of experts joining the conversation on our website.
The panel includes Lifeline Australia crisis support policy and practice Ann Evans; On The Line executive general manager – clinical Garry Thomson; Standby Response Service national co-ordinator Jill Fisher; and Rural Adversity Mental Health Program executive manager programs and services Trevor Hazell.
They will look at how to tell if somebody isn’t doing well and what to do, how to develop coping mechanisms and build resilience, and how to provide emotional support.
The Friday Forum is a joint initiative of The Land, the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP) and NSW Farmers.
Do you have a question for the panel? You can ask on the day or submit your questions ahead of time.
If you don’t feel comfortable joining the discussion, you can still follow the conversation and pick up some solid suggestions about ways to get help or to improve your mental fitness.
The forum will be live here at 2pm:
