THE Brahman feature show at Sydney Royal on Saturday saw one of the biggest turnouts of NSW studs in the breed's 50-year history at the event.
More than 130 head of Brahmans packed the shed, and judge Matthew McCamley, "Eulogie", Dululu, Queensland, said it was the best line-up he had seen in NSW by a long way.
But it was the interstate visitors from the north who scooped the sashes and headed back to Queensland.
NCC Santora 2026, a 945 kilogram senior bull exhibited by Brett Nobbs, NCC Brahmans, Duaringa, Qld, was named best Brahman exhibit at the end of the day, topping off a successful day for the stud.
NCC Brahmans also won champion junior bull with NCC Buchanan, champion bull calf with NCC Jericho, reserve champion junior female with NCC Miss Manso 2564, and reserve champion female calf with NCC Jewel Manso 2670.
But stealing the show from the best Brahman exhibit bull and the $80,000 champion cow was Token Miss Ellie and her brand new calf, Token Miss Sydney (pictured).
Exhibited by Tony and Kathryn Mortimer of Token Brahmans, Eidsvold, Qld, Miss Sydney was born at 10:45pm on Friday night and was too little to make it around the ring so was loaded into the wheelbarrow for Saturday morning's judging.
