THE Chinese love chilled Aussie beef and they aren’t afraid to show it.
Less than a month ago Bindaree Beef and its meat sales and marketing business, Sanger Australia, partnered with JD.com, the largest online direct sales company in China, to launch First Cut Pure Australian Beef to Chinese consumers.
Since its launch Bindaree has received 2000 instances of feedback on JD.com.
“The Chinese have enjoyed their chilled beef experience – we know because they have a culture of letting people know their feelings online, “ said Sanger’s Asia sales manager Tim Sullivan.
“The response has been overwhelmingly positive.”
Bindaree’s third shipment of the chilled product line – about 4.3 tonnes - landed last Monday. In response to online feedback, the shipment included new products - beef shin and brisket – suitable for hot-pots. The line already included beef steaks, strips and fingers.
“It’s very early days and we’re listening to our customers closely,” he said.
Most customers had ordered their beef products through their mobile phones.
Mr Sullivan said Sanger’s marketing in China would be social media based.
