The ballot draws for the Riverina and Farrer electorates were held on Friday, with incumbent Michael McCormack drawing top spot for the Riverina seat and Griffith’s Ron Pike taking the first position on the Farrer ballot.
The draw for candidates in the race for Riverina was held in Wagga, while the Farrer ballot will be staged at a temporary Australian Electoral Commission office established in Albury.
Running for the Riverina seat are Nationals incumbent Michael McCormack, Labor’s Tim Kurylowicz, Greens’ Kevin Poynter, Christian Democratic Party’s Philip Langfield, Family First’s Glenn O’Rourke and independent Richard Foley.
The confirmed candidates in Farrer are Liberal incumbent Sussan Ley, Labor's Christian Kunde, Greens’ Amanda Cohn, Christian Democratic Party's Paul Rossetto and Australian Liberty Alliance's Ron Pike.
