Bannaby Reality K63 was the bull, a low birthweight son of Matauri Reality 839 from the Rosebud cow family.
“We have been watching the Bannaby program for a few years now, there were a couple of sire groups in this year's offering we wanted to inspect,” Anvil Angus principal Stephen Handbury said.
“The strength of the Bannaby cows has demanded our attention, our have purchased some very good cows over time.
“Reality K63 was a well put together bull, with frame, and phenotype that shone through.”
Anvil Angus purchased a second bull Bannaby In Focus K182 for $9000.
Bannaby Thunderbird K203 matched the $13,000 price tag secured by local entity Milson Family Partnership, “Cardross”, Goulburn.

“We have been focused on using breeding technologies to build the cowherd with good family lines, and it shows in the consistency of the bulls we have been able to offer.”
“The highlight is the new and existing buyers, but really the local area they come from in the southern and central tablelands”.
The sale was conducted by agents in conjunction Elders Goulburn and Landmark Bathurst with Steve Ridley and Marcus Schembri sharing the rostrum.
