DO you ponder how we will feed our hungry planet in 2050?
Canberra student Brittany Dahl did. She had some ideas, too, so she applied to take part in the 2015 Youth Ag Summit (which was conveniently held in Canberra).
Applications are now open for next year’s summit which will be held in Brussels, Belgium.
The Summit is a unique event which brings together talented young minds to explore and discuss solutions on global food challenges.
“I met other young people from all around the world and we spent three insightful days brainstorming and formulating solutions to feed the world,” Ms Dahl said.
“We all still constantly keep in touch with one another.”
Ms Dahl recently finished her honours year at the Australian National University’s Fenner School of the Environment.
“Graduating with honours was one of the ‘three little things’ I pledged to do at the summit. I also pledged to get more involved in my local community and travel – both of which I’ve done.”
Ms Dahl encouraged anyone passionate about food security to apply.
“I’m so glad I applied. It only took a few hours to do and the effort well and truly paid off.”
