Six days ago Lisa Martin of Scone assisted her sister in Merriwa during the Sir Ivan Fire.
So devastating were the scenes she witnessed that Lisa decided to support those affected.
A few days after posting her plan online Lisa was bombarded with donations from all over the country.
A week of intense organisation later and she was back on the road to the Central West.
They don’t want to take it, they’re very proud country people.

On Tuesday Lisa passed through the villages east of Dunedoo with a convoy of five trucks filled with emergency supplies.
The crew of around 20 volunteers delivered pet food, vet supplies, irrigation equipment, saddlery goods and an enormous amount of groceries and water to those in need along the way.
“They don’t want to take it, they’re very proud country people,” she said.
“But once they see the emergency items we have they do...it’s all very private.”
And in true Aussie spirit even a barbecue was donated from Queensland to use during working bees.
“It was incredible – if we had another 24 hours we probably would’ve filled another three trucks with donations,” she said.
The convoy’s final stop was in Dunedoo where they dropped the remaining stock off for storage at a wool shed to be dispersed as necessary.
