This year’s event, held on August 10 and 11, features a jam-packed schedule of demonstrations and presentations from experts in livestock management, value chains and markets.

The event will kick off on Thursday, August, 10, with a field day at “Gundawanna”, Belgravia, near Orange. Demonstrations will cover meat quality, pasture preparation, SMART breeding objectives and remote sensing technology.

The following day participants will flock to the ‘sheep in focus’ forum in Orange. Speakers will cover a diverse range of topics such as global and domestic comparative analysis of sheep enterprise profitability; wool fashion directions; market intelligence for both wool and meats; the profitability of feedlotting lambs.

The forum will also hear from one of the country’s top meat processors  – Thomas Foods International’s Andrew Jackson – on meat marketing and quality assurance.
