With 33 years of proven breeding behind the Irelands Angus program the Ireland family conducted their spring 2017 on-property sale held at “Ivydell”, Wagga Wagga.
Irelands offered 45 of their best ranging from two year olds to genuine yearlings.
Fourty three bulls found new homes selling to a top of $16,000 with an average price of $6918 recorded.
The top money was paid for Irelands Lourenzo L148 a July 2015 son of Granite Ridge Jurassic J76.
Lourenzo L148 sold to the Lenehan family, WPL Inverlochie, “Inverlochie”, Harden.
Not far behind Kellie Smith and Stephen Hayward of K5X Angus, Allora, Queensland forked out $13,000 for a May 2016 born son of Granite Ridge Regent H309 in Irelands Minister M61.
K5X also purchased the third top and top price yearling Irelands Maneuver M106 the first son to be offered by UK born US bred sire Rawburn Boss Hogg N630.
Volume purchasers were lead by Longyard Pastoral Investments operating through Elders Echuca.
Longyard secured seven bulls in total and bought well to average $4857.
Ireland Farming, “Newhaven”, Condobolin, averaged $6500 for their four paying to a top of $10,000 for Irelands Levis L325 a December 2015 born Jondaryan Jet J38 son.
Benambra graziers CJ Pendergast & Co topped at $10,000 when selecting their three to average $7333.
Their top was a yearling son of the $150,000 Millah Murrah Kingdon K35 in Irelands Mojo M114.
Highbank Pastoral Co, “Highbank”, Young also purchased three this time for a $6667 average.
They topped at $9000 for Irelands Lazar L312 an October 2015 son of Ascot Gapstead J338.
The auction was conducted by agents in conjunction Landmark and Elders with Kevin Norris and Joe Wilks refereeing the bidding.
