A NEW South Wales stud has taken the trifecta, by winning the Angus section’s supreme exhibit rosette at the Royal Melbourne Show.
Pine Creek Angus, Cowra, took out the best Angus exhibit at the Sydney Royal Easter Show and grand champion female in Adelaide this year, with four year-old Angus cow, PC Miss E99 Foreman J181.
Miss E99 Foreman was paraded with an eight month-old calf, PC Compliment.
Judge Craig Gapes, Triple M Red Angus, Kyogle, said the cow had “that little bit of X factor”.
He chose Foreman over the junior and grand champion bull, Killain Fort Worth M17, bred and owned by Killain Angus, Tamworth.
“The cow got on top as she is a big high performance female,” Mr Gapes said.
“She has a cracking bull calf at foot, she is sound and free.
“She is a credit to the breed and the beef industry – she has a great udder, length of body and just ticks all the boxes. She is just going to breed the house down.”
PC Stud principal Greg Fuller said he believed the cow won on her ability, size, balance and beautiful udder.
Mr Gapes said Killian Fort Worth was still a worthy competitor, as grand champion bull.
“The young black bull was just outstanding, he had that easy fleshing, easy doing ability,” he said.
“He wasn’t a massive high growth bull, he just ticked all of the necessary boxes.”
Fort Worth weighed 660 kilograms, and measured 95 square centimetres eye muscle area (EMA), 16 millimetre rump fat and 10mm rib fat.

The Fuller/Kennedy family continued their success receiving senior champion bull with PC 94S Legend L025 and reserve senior champion bull with PC Kodiak K131.
NSW continued their reign with the Wheeler family of RDM Angus, Wellington, receiving reserve senior champion female with their single exhibit T&R Jewel J6 with calf RDMG Jewel N8 at side.
Junior champion heifer We to Hollywood Miz Scarlette M18 bred by Ian and Lyn Frecklington, Peak Hill, and owned by Sam Parish, Mass Angus, Dubbo.
Hollywood Angus also exhibited the reserve junior champion bull, Hollywood Massey M10.
