“We penned more rams as we wanted to provide plenty of opportunity for our clients and potential buyers to consider,’ Mr Peake said.
“To only have so few passed in means everyone was able to fill their ram requirements.”
Top priced ram at $5,500, a horned son of 400330 with micron 17.9 and SD 2.91 was bought by longterm supporters of the Bogo genetic direction John and Anna Hyles, “Booroomba”, Tharwa.
Mr and Mrs Hyles were advised by Pat McNeil, AWN Goulburn in the selection of their annual draft and said they considered their new sire the best they have ever bought from Bogo.
“We are looking to increase the quality of our sheep now we have consolidated our numbers,” he said.
“He is a heavy cutter with a fine and bright fleece of exceptional softeness.”

The auction sale was settled by Butt Livestock and Property Pty Ltd, Yass with guest auctioneer Paul Dooley, Tamworth taking the bids.
