Barnaby Joyce is once again the Deputy Prime Minister after being sworn in

At 1.15pm on Wednesday, Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove sworn Mr Joyce in as the New England MP, Agriculture Minister and the nation’s second-in-command.

After a few celebratory photographs, Mr Joyce made a mad dash from Government House to Parliament House to take part in question time.

Mr Joyce said Labor had been left with egg on its face after it was revealed four of its MPs have questions over their dual citizenship status.

“Labor said their process was so water tight they had nothing to answer for,” Mr Joyce told The Leader on his way to Canberra.

“Now they look like complete and utter hypocrites.

“If Labor had put forward their MPs when we did, maybe there would have been a different High Court outcome if the judge was looking at 20 politicians.”
