Cranbrook School’s vision is to be a world-class school that enables all of its students to explore, enjoy and fulfil their potential.

It leads students to discover and make the most of their talents, give their best and thrive in and love the pursuit of excellence.

To celebrate the school’s 100 years of history, it has introduced the Centenary Scholarship.

This is available to students not currently enrolled at Cranbrook School and eligible for entry to Years 7 to 11 in 2018 or 2019.

Eligible students will be generous of spirit, and open to science and literature, sport and art, service and adventure, and be keen to contribute to the strong community of the school.

This is a means-tested scholarship, and is set aside for families and students who would otherwise be unable to attend the school.

Supporting financial details will be requested from parents of shortlisted applicants. The scholarship is only open to Australian citizens or permanent residents.

“Cranbrook energises the educational environment by offering a rich and distinctive schooling both within and beyond the curriculum and gives powerful pastoral support,” a spokesman said.

“It upholds the character of its Anglican foundation to promote the moral and spiritual development of each student and foster the principles of service.

“Cranbrook builds resilience and confidence so each student can face the challenges of the 21st century with personal confidence, intellectual versatility, academic hunger and optimism.

“The school is excited about plans for curricular reform and the development of its rural campus in Wolgan Valley, to the plans for the renewal of the senior school campus.

“These plans underscore its determination to create a world-class, globally minded curriculum with a distinctively Australian character.”

Cranbrook will celebrate its founding mission, powerful educational philosophy and place at the heart of the local community.

Cranbrook has a radical, expansive view of boys’ schooling that avoids stereotyping young men and embraces the spirit of the great liberal tradition centred upon the values bestowed by an Anglican foundation, he said. “It has a genuine commitment to creativity, diversity, individuality and a love of the pursuit of excellence.”
