Over 800 top quality Angus females in very good condition considering the dry season across the south attracted strong competition when offered under the Reiland Angus Invitational banner at the Gundagi saleyards on Wednesday.
Reiland stud principal Mark Lucas was very happy after the sale and thought the results justified his decision to re-activate the sale which highlights his bloodlines.
“It was a spectacular sale given the state of the season and a credit to all vendors,” Mr Lucas said.

There was strong competition for local restockers with the new owners of Abingdon Station, Gundagai putting together a sold draft while buyers from Wangaratta, Victoria and Wagga Wagga were also successful in buying stock.
Elders and Landmark, Tumut and Gundagai conducted the sale with Peter Cabot, Landmark, and Will Stoddart and Sam Gamel from Elders taking the bids.
