On the back of the inaugural Mullet Fest at Kurri Kurri The Land is opening the gates – we want to find agriculture’s best mullet.
It seems the mullet is more than just a 1980s hairstyle – it’s still being worn loud and proud by many a farmer, grazier, shearer, agronomist and more across the country and we want to see them.
There were mullets galore at Kurri Kurri – and judges had a hard time choosing winners for all the categories – every day, grubby, ranga, ladies and junior mullet and publican.
But they didn’t look for agriculture’s best mullet – so we have decided to fill that gap and are on the hunt.
To kick start the gallery we had to look inside our own team of fashionable journalists to see if they indeed also sported a mullet at some point in their lives.
We weren’t disappointed.
So join our team, and send us your photos – old and new – so we can find the best mullet in Australian agriculture.
They’ll be added into the gallery above.
Tag photos #agsbestmullet on Instagram or Twitter, email photos to kim.chappell@fairfaxmedia.com.au or pop them on our Facebook page.
And as if the glory wasn’t enough, there is a The Land prize-pack it in for the best mullet.
Entries close on Tuesday March 6 at 5pm. Readers will then be given their chance to vote on their choice of best mullet from Monday, March 12. Stay tuned!
