Where would you rather be?

The last 12 months has seen a great deal of activity in the local property market with sales and prices continuing to increase in the Dorrigo area and Bellingen also continuing to experience strong demand.

This trend it not confined to a single sector of the market but can be seen across all areas of rural, lifestyle, commercial and residential properties plus property management.

There is increased interest and confidence in agriculture with the areas of Dorrigo and Bellingen ideally placed to capitalise with buyers looking for country with reliable rainfall plus high carrying capacity.

This has seen a particularly strong last 12 months with some recent sales being of properties that have been on and off the market for a number of years.

A particular show of confidence in the area has been the spread of buyers purchasing properties.

These have included to people new to the area, either from out west or interstate, coastal areas plus Brisbane and Sydney or interstate together with local producers expanding their operations resulting in very few rural properties being left on the market.

On the residential front what was considered the upper end of the market 12 months ago is now the norm in the Dorrigo area, however, this has not slowed down sales with on market times actually decreasing in many cases.

Bellingen continues to experience the strong demand that has seen it grow over the past years.

Commercial properties have also seen increased enquiry from people looking to move to the area and a number of new businesses have opened in the Dorrigo area and also Bellingen in the last months with very few vacant commercial buildings now in town.

All in all it’s a good time to be in Dorrigo and Bellingen or to come if you are not already.
