It was a forum of positivity and possibility for the future of the Cooma region.

The first forum in our Next Crop series kicked off in Cooma last night with an overwhelming theme of positivity for the future of regional NSW.

A range of topics from growing the future of agriculture and rural towns, education, local council and internet connectivity in the bush were discussed.

Panel members were Jane Cay the founder of Birdsnest; Charlie Litchfield environmental services manager at Snowy Hydro Ltd; Duncan Taylor CEO of the Country Universities Centre; James (Boo) Ewart has his own carpentry business and is a councillor on the Snowy Monaro Regional Council; Mary Lockton, marketing manager of NSW Farmers, and Lynda Summers the secretary of the Wireless Internet Service Providers Association of Australia and chief executive officer and founder of the telecommunications carrier dedicated to regional community development, Countrytell.
