It was a Night to Sparkle in Ben Lomond in early March as the community gathered to raise money for Friendly Faces Helping Hands Foundation (FFHH).
The brainchild of FFHH founder and chief executive Kelly Foran, the event was held in the Ben Lomond Hall with more than 100 people getting behind the cause which works to network communities and their people to hospitals and health facilities.
FFHH committee member Krystle Nugent said the community and local businesses got behind the foundation for the event.
“They supported our endeavours to host the event locally and to showcase the local district, services, businesses, products and producers,” she said.
“The food was all sourced locally and the main ingredients all donated from local producers and suppliers and all prepared by our committee.
“The final preparations and serving was then co-ordinated by our chef and friend Dan Gillmore from Narrabri Outback Shack.
“Glen Innes High School students volunteered their time to assist in welcoming guests and with meal service while gaining valuable vocational experience.”
A live auction took place and live music followed the dinner.
