For Sydney Royal Guernsey judge Brad Frohloff, there was plenty to like in the show ring as Guernsey breeders exhibited their dairy cows.
Mr Frohloff, from Yarraman, Qld, described his pick for senior champion female as a magnificent profile for the Guernsey breed, the most correct among her competition, and her udder stood out.
Meadow Vale Mentor Joyful, a five calver, was exhibited by Julie and Michael Moore, Meadow Vale dairy, Dorrigo.
Mentor Joyful was also selected for best senior udder.
Owner, Julie Moore, said her show history had included being placed reserve senior champion at Sydney last year.
The cow is currently producing 25 litres per day and is on track to produce about 8000 litres for this lactation.
Mentor Joyful was sired by Mar Ral Royal Mentor while her dam was Meadow Vale Banger Joyanne.
Reserve senior champion was presented to Exkwizit Active Barbell, owned by Jenny Crawford, Numbaa.
Honorable mention was presented to Meadow Vale SB Canon exhibited by Julie Moore.
The Meadow Vale Guernsey stud took out the best intermediate udder, intermediate champion female and dams progeny.
Judge, Mr Frohloff, said the intermediate champion female, Meadow Vale Judgement Dynamic (also best intermediate udder), had very good structure, capacity throughout and shear dairy strength.
This female has gone from strength to strength, where she had also won junior champion at Sydney Royal in 2017,said owner Julie Moore.
The heifer is daughter of Springhill Judgement and is from Meadow Vale Bruces Dynamic.
The Kookaburra stud claimed ribbons in the intermediate and junior selection.
The reserve intermediate was presented to Kookaburra Caspian Glendarra, exhibited by the Clarke family.
While Kookaburra Pistoll Eurangatuck claimed the junior champion.
