TAMWORTH stud Goonoo Red Angus stud is marking 10 years since its first Red Angus calf was born, by offering females for the first time.
The Jordan family, who started the stud after dispersing their Goonoo Creek Simmental stud, will offer 16 stud females in 13 lots, as well as an embryo flush in the Red Reflections Red Angus Sale.
Among the stud’s draft are three feature lots, which will allow the buyer to select between two heifers in each lot.
The feature lots are all by K5X Jackpot J20, and from Rockridge Magic Imp C42, RRA Cub Four, Rockridge Magic Goldmine B44, Goonoo Red Snoopy D5 and Goonoo Kay Dance.
“Two will enter the sale ring, and the purchaser can select the one they want to buy,” stud principal Graham Jordan said.
Mr Jordan will also have on offer a pick of the herd flush, with a guaranteed minimum of five A-grade embryos.
“The buyer can pick from any female in our herd. We’ve had interest from Western Australia for the flush because of the restrictions with purchasing live animals.”
Mr Jordan said there’d been good interest from buyers due to the strong bloodlines on offer.
“Many of our females are direct descendants of our foundation families like Trevone Park Kite, Snoopy and RRA Imp.”
