Despite dry conditions in parts of Queensland and other states, optimism is strong in the rural sector which could help see this year’s CRT FarmFest be the biggest yet.
As the record exhibitor numbers continue to grow well past 2000, CRT FarmFest maintains its place as the biggest and most successful annual agricultural event in the Sunshine State.
More than 60,000 visitors are expected and a number of exciting innovations await loyal customers.
Demonstrations at CRT FarmFest continue an upward trend so the team is delighted to introduce a new demonstration machinery area, sponsored by New Holland.
The area allows larger machinery demonstrations in the field and adds to the popular ATV and motorbike, livestock area and on-stand demonstrations.
The livestock area will be abuzz with anticipation with the led steer and heifer competitions, young handlers and young judges competitions, battle of the bulls and fantastic females competitions, breed showcases and the grand parade.
There is an exciting addition to the area – the ARTC sponsored Glendon Kelpies working demonstrations, along with the popular Australian heavy horse display.
Additional sites have been made available for the static display to meet the ever-increasing need from new exhibitors.
A hallmark of CRT FarmFest is the focus on innovation, technology and precision farming products and services.
Fairfax Rural Events group manager Kate Nugent believes visitors to this year’s event will be focused on how they can continue to develop and improve efficient farming practices.
She believes they will be on the lookout for products and services to meet these needs.
“The sheer size, product/service range, diversity and national positioning of CRT FarmFest offers unmatched marketing opportunities,” Ms Nugent said.
“It is providing primary industry in Queensland with an unparalleled opportunity to increase its already high efficiency.”
In keeping with Fairfax Rural Events’ ongoing policy of making a visit to the event as enjoyable as possible, Honda-branded ticketing booths will be located in the major car parks.
This will allow visitors to avoid queues at the entry gates by pre-purchasing tickets when the parking gates open at 7.30am.
Free CRT FarmFest Official Guides, published by Queensland Country Life, will be available at the booths.
CRT FarmFest 2018 runs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, June 5, 6 and 7 at Kingsthorpe, 20 kilometres west of Toowoomba off the Warrego Highway.
The event is open from 9am to 5pm Tuesday and Wednesday, 9am to 4pm Thursday.
The car park will open at 7.30am.
