All but one of the 43 females offered, sold to a top of $16,000 and $7036 average.
Thirty-eight pregnancy tested in calf (PTIC) females sold for an average of $7158.
The Van der Drift family, Black Diamond Speckle Parks, Macorna, Vic, bid $16,000 for the top female, Waratah Pho Finish M123.
The 22-month-old was by Johner Stock Farm Trade Secret from Waratah E23, and was PTIC to Waratah M14.
Waratah co-principal, Laiton Turnham, believed the overall growth, size and shape of the female, and the success of two full sisters at Beef 2018, helped push the female to the high price.
Black Diamond also bought Waratah H28, the second top-priced female for $15,000. By Waratah Eddie E22 from Waratah Ember E26, the rising six-year-old was PTIC to Minnamurra Lancelot L14.
They took home the pick of the herd flush for $7500, and rounded up their sale purchases with the four females, one bull, embryos, the flush and three semen lots.
Four unjoined heifers sold for an average of $5875 to a top of $7500.
The $7500 top-priced unjoined heifer was Waratah Amy N05, purchased by Nickland Pty Ltd, Moreville, Tasmania. By HS Untapped 3A from Waratah Amy K12, the nine-month-old female was one of four females purchased by the buyer.
Five bulls sold to a top of $10,000 at an average $6400. The top bull was Waratah Malibu M26, a River Hill Samson 25S son from Waratah E27, bought by Scott Beaumont, Dorrigo.
Semen topped at $300 per straw for two lots of 10 straws of Ponderosa Chuck 24C, bought by Barkley stud, Murgon, Qld.
Volume buyer, Michael Pokarier, Moura, Qld, took home the top-priced embryo package, consisting of four Codiak Spencer 52B from Waratah Spanish Angel J194 embryos, for $1200 per egg. He also secured six females including the top-priced pregnant recipient for $7000.
Brahckle females sold to a $3500 top for Waratah H8, bought by Heather Smith, Wiangaree, and averaged $3167.
The sale was interfaced online with Elite Livestock Auctions, and conducted by Ray White Rural with Blake O’Reilly as the auctioneer.
