East West Angus is a family-run operation owned by Shane and Lanie Adams.
Mr Adams has a lifelong interest in cattle and particularly a passion for Angus.
After buying his own property, Mr Adams began East West Angus stud two years ago, and in that time has acquired some truly impressive genetics.
East West Angus bought Carabar Docklands L36 in 2017 for $110,000 in partnership with Vince Larkin, Larriken Angus. “I couldn’t fault him,” he said. “He had a really great temperament and as far as phenotype, he was correct in every way.”
Mr Adams also purchased Millah Murrah Prue H112 in 2017 for $54,000.
Adding to his top-drawer line of genetics is cows from Wattletop Angus stud, Guyra, as well as two bulls from Texas Angus stud, Warialda.
East West Angus will be open on two days during Northern Beef Week – on day four at ‘Emohta’, Bingara, where Docklands L36 and two Texas bulls will be on display.
On day seven the stud will have open day at Tyalgum, with Millah Murrah and Texas cows on display, with calves by S Chisum 6175.
Twenty bulls will be on sale by Kansas Emblazon F185.
Semen packages will be for sale from Docklands L36, Texas Mt Kaputar M100, and Texas and Wattletop bulls.
