Kurrajong Park Poll Hereford stud is offering 10 well-bred Poll Hereford bulls for sale during its Northern Beef Week open day.
The open day, on day five, will also give visitors the opportunity to inspect Kurrajong Park’s impressive line of stud cows and sires.
The stud, which is based near Coolah, was purchased by the Paspaley Pearling Company in the early 1990s.
The stud’s genetics were advanced and managed under the guidance of the late Ian Watson.
Mr Watson was a well-known industry leader, innovator and master seed stock breeder.
In addition, he was internationally respected as both a judge and consultant.
He also formed the acclaimed Injemira stud at Holbrook.
Today Kurrajong Park Poll Hereford stud is run by Adam Henniker, who is the livestock manager of Kurrajong Park, and he is advised by Barry Gould from the Debarry stud.
Kurrajong Park Poll Hereford studs consists of 200 self-replacing females, which breed quality bulls for an expansive commercial operation, which joins 1200 commercial cows.
Kurrajong Park uses quality sires and artificial insemination programs to produce progeny with quick weight gain.
The progeny are bred to be turned off more quickly and at a high quality.
All Kurrajong Park stud calves are performance recorded, semen and vet checked.
