The final day of Northern Beef Week wrapped up on the NSW North Coast today.
Studs on show were Brooklana Angus, Brooklana, Cotmore Pure Hereford, Tunglebung, East West Angus, Pumpenbil, Ghinni Ghi Angus, via Kyongle, Maxwellton Angus, Hernani, and Mogul Brahman, Yorklea, via Casino.
It’s been a big week for the beef cattle studs which flung open their gates across the NSW North West, New England, Hunter Valley and North Coast.

Among them were a number of “newish” studs which clearly are going to make an impact on the seedstock industry in coming years.
All the studmasters have a vision for the cattle they are trying to breed and the markets they want to target.
Many areas across the north of the state are suffering dry winter conditions with cattle on roads a regular problem for motorists.
But the dry didn’t dampen spirits and the enthusiasm of studmasters was inspiring.
The event was sponsored by Ausmectin. It was another exciting week for the northern stud beef cattle industry.
