The 2018 Charolais Youth Stampede was held in conjunction with the Charolais National Show and Sale at Dubbo on July 12 to 14.
Some 79 competitors from NSW, Victoria, Queensland, and Western Australia took part in the program that hosted a range of educational sessions including public speaking, marketing, halter making, cattle assessment, tattooing, tagging and clipping and fitting.
Participants also were involved in the 2018 Pickles Auctions Charolais National Showcase on July 13.
The program concluded with competitions in junior judging, paraders, marketing and herdsperson.
Herdsperson was judged by Greg and Leonie Ball, “Grenell”, Singleton. Champions were as follows:

- Reserve pee wee champion: Miley O’Brien
- Junior champion: Tia Beaumont
- Reserve junior champion: Josephine Green
- Intermediate champion: Olivia Jury

- Senior champion: Amy Whitechurch
- Reserve senior champion: Heidi Nicholls
