EXTRA-heavy lamb prices have kicked off the week with record rates across NSW.
At the end of trading on Monday, Tamworth held the Australian lamb record price of $292 a head.
This was only after toppling high prices at Dubbo ($286.20) and Corowa ($281.60) earlier in the day.

The $292 lambs at Tamworth were sold by Ian Morgan Livestock for their clients Stewart, Phillip and Mitch Steiger, "Tarakan", Upper Bingara.
These lambs estimated to weigh 76 kilograms, were 10.5-months-old, January-shorn and had been running on oats.
The Steiger family also held the previous Tamworth record of $254 achieved in June this year
The Corowa lambs hitting $281.60 were Poll Dorsets in a pen of 75 sold by PG and CF Beckett, Pleasant Hills, while the Dubbo lambs were 211 second-cross Poll Dorset sired lambs bred and offered for Adam and Natasha Whillock, “Haddington”, Wellington for $286.20.
Up until this week, lambs sold at Wagga Wagga earlier this months held the national record price of $281.20 a head.
