The Land will be in Cobar tonight running a forum about tackling rural population decline and will feature panelists from NSW Department of Planning and Regional Development Australia.
This is part of The Next Crop series of forums the which kicked off at Cooma in February and runs through to Lismore in October.
So what is The Next Crop?
At its most simple, it’s a growing conversation where good ideas are gathered and shared about how people in rural communities and businesses can make a positive difference.
The event includes free entry and is open to the whole community. The Cobar event kicks off at 5.30pm and will include finger food and the opportunity to ask questions and put ideas forward from the floor.
It is run as a discussion style panel, facilitated by The Land. The panel will include Gary White, NSW Department of Planning, Tracy McIntyre, Regional Development Australia committee member, Justin McClure, Kallara Station, Tilpa, Cobar local Ellie Russell, Darling Designs Co, Caron Chester, NSW Farmers.
We will aim to finish around 7.30pm, but there will also be the opportunity for questions.
