Christie Engineering have revolutionised fencing with the development of their petrol post drivers.
Based in NSW, Christie Engineering is a small family run engineering company, which manufactures niche original equipment products for a range of industries including agriculture, mining and construction.
A Christie Engineering spokesperson said over the years, the company has designed and still manufactures soil sampling equipment, custom hydraulic drill rigs, and battery chargers.
“More recently, our petrol post drivers have become a game changer for fencing,” the spokesperson said.
“The petrol powered Christie post driver was designed off the back of the original hydraulic driver.
“The original machine was a heavier and more expensive option, which required a separate power unit to operate.
“Our petrol driver evolved from original in-house prototypes that used electric jackhammer components coupled to small motors to what we entirely manufacture now in the thousands.
“The post driver is extremely lightweight and portable which enables the operator to move along a fence line much faster than traditional air and hydraulic driven units.”
The Christie Post Driver is currently available in two sizes.
The CHPD52 is capable of driving standard stock fence pickets and pipes up to 50 millimetres in diameter.
The CHPD78 is well suited to driving standard stock fence pickets and also larger pickets and pipe size up to 76mm diameter.
Christie Engineering distribute Australia wide and also export to the United State and Europe as well as New Zealand, China and Korea.
“We use the strongest materials for every component without compromise, coupled to an ultra reliable Honda GX35 4-stroke engine on all models.
“We strive to keep ahead of our competitors by manufacturing the machines entirely in Australia.”
